This is a dogged session here. You can see Australia are wanting to nail it down.

Not sure there will be many at festival who are following the World Test Championship as well as the hot-dog eating contest, but I'm happy to be proven wrong.
Meanwhile, this game gets just what it needs with even more of a delay as Marco Jansen misfields, somehow gets his thumb stuck in the turf and needs some treatment. Marnus Labuschagne then edges one short of slip which is the closest thing we've had to a chance for a while.

I would normally be at a festival this week as well, but am in the office listening to the cricket and looking at the grey London skyline.
Myall, London
I also asked about whether he'd managed to have a shower yet and his answer was "No, but don't worry, it's raining tomorrow."
Reassuring.
Here's a contrast.
I get to live text Smith and Labuschagne scoring two runs per over, while my husband is at a festival and has sent me a photo of him watching a hot-dog eating contest.
I think I know who's having more fun.

South Africa need to bowl Australia out for around 160. Anything more than that and there's zero chance.
Lead by 112
Just a single from Marco Jansen's latest. He looks a bit fed up already.
Sir Alastair Cook

It feels like such a critical moment in the Test match. If Australia lose a few then South Africa are back in the game.
It's such a low-scoring game and you can't afford to let the opposition coast for a bit.
Lead by 111
I'm in for a right laugh this evening if Smith and Labuschagne bat the entirety of the session, aren't I?
Cheers, Elizabeth.
And yeah, she is comfortably outperforming me on the wickets front with a healthy lead of 20-2...
Right, I'm off. Here's Ffion Wynne to take you through the evening session.
I hope I've left you some wickets, Ffion...

My Dad and I have got tickets to the fourth day of the Test at Lord's and my son, who's 12, is super excited. Are we even going to get play on the fourth day? Please pray for a rain delay!

Stumped
This week's Stumped episode is out now!
Former Australia opener Matthew Hayden and former South Africa captain Graeme Smith speak to Alison Mitchell about the future of Test cricket and what needs to be done to save it.
And journalist Tim Wigmore s the team to discuss his new book called Test Cricket: A History.
You can listen right here on BBC Sounds.
Momentum was with Australia heading into tea - they'd stretched their lead into three figures and had all 10 wickets in hand.
But cometh the hour, cometh Kagiso Rabada. Two wickets in three balls and South Africa are right back in it.
'He's done it again!' - Rabada takes two wickets in three balls
So, let's unpack all that...
It feels like an awfully long time ago but South Africa were batting at the start of the second session. They were 121-5 when play resumed but collapsed to 138 all out.
Pat Cummins was the pick of Australia's bowlers, taking 6-28.
Six-wicket haul helps Cummins' reach 300 dismissals in Test career
Well, a lot happened during that session didn't it?
The restart was delayed by rain, South Africa collapsed in a heap, and after a solid start, Australia lost two late wickets to leave the match well and truly in the balance.
Well Peter, it's nearly time for Ffion to return and as I (smugly) pointed out earlier, she's only seen two wickets in this match so far...
Marnus Labuschagne survives the final over before tea. A maiden for Marco Jansen.
Australia are 32-2 and lead South Africa by 106 runs.

Odds on nine wickets falling in the final session of the day again?
Peter, Birmingham
Steve Smith responds with aplomb. Defends his first ball, bangs the second for four.
Marco Jansen is being brought back into the attack.
